Besides the miles of beautiful world renowned beaches there are many things to do in the Fort Myers and Lee County area for residents and visitors alike. There are tons of opportunities for boaters who are interested in deep sea fishing or taking the family for a boat ride. Also, there is a wonderful variety of golfing, biking, and dining opportunities. Fort Myers is only a couple hours from the magical Disney theme parks and just a short boat ride to Historic KeyWest. We also have a fast boat, called the KeyWest express that can take you for a day trip. With beautiful sunny weather year round and cool nights, why not live here?

Most visitors and locals alike enjoy the miles and miles of pristine beachfront properties. There are also unparalleled opportunities for boaters whether you are in the Gulf of Mexico or boating in the Caloosahatchee River, the many area canals or deep-water boating leave visitors with many options. Also there are many marinas and boat lift storages off of every neighborhood. 
Don't own a Boat?
There are many places that offer boat rentals or day excursions that take you snorkeling or dolphin watching. Maybe you are more interested in a relaxing kayak ride alone, don't worry we have endless kayak rentals that you can take down many of the local canals. The SWFL area also has lot of local charters and boat rentals.
Golfing
Are you a golfer? SWFL have many golf opportunities for everyone. We have public and private courses and over 50 in just Fort Myers alone, there is a course out there that will fit anyone's interest and level of play. Florida has developed a reputation for having some of the world's most sought out golf courses. There are many communities that have their own golf course as well. Golf Digest has rated Eastwood Golf Courses one of the top 50 municipal course in the country. 
Biking
Fort Myers is a biking community with miles of trails as well as dedicated cycling roads. Cycling is also available at area state parks and wildlife preservations. There are many cycling groups you can join as well and ride all through SWFL
Sanibel & Captiva Islands: 
Sanibel was originally named “Ybel” after the Spanish Queen Isabella by explorer Juan Ponce de Leon in 1513. The Great Calusa Blueway is a 190-mile network of kayaking and paddling trails around the coves, rivers, and backwaters of Sanibel and the Gulf of Mexico.The best way to get around Sanibel and Captiva is by bicycle. The islands have 22 miles of shady traffic-free bike trails – and no stop lights!
Fort Myers:
Fort Myers is one of  the fastest-growing areas in Florida's Southwest region. Along the scenic shoreline of the Caloosahatchee River, Fort Myers is a treasure in rich history. With a young population (median age of 32), Fort Myers has a great nightlife in the historic downtown. You can also find a theater with amazing shows and wonderful restaurants. 
Fort Myers Beach
The community of Fort Myers Beach consists of Estero Island San Carlos. Estero Island is one of the areas Barrier islands that is about less than a mile wide at any point. Fort Myers Beach is known for its pristine white sand beaches that look over the Gulf of Mexico. Fort Myers Beach is also home to Key West Express. Enjoy the tropical island paradise of Key West in just 3 ½ hours, with the Modern and spacious jet-powered vessels offer year-round, high-speed service to the vacation spot of pirates, poets, presidents and partygoers.
Cape Coral
Located across the Caloosahatchee River from Fort Myers, Cape Coral began development about 40 years ago by brothers Jack and Leonard Rosen who thought water and constant sunshine would provide ideal opportunities for living. The brothers platted Cape Coral and created more than 400 miles of canals and waterfronts of canals leading to the Gulf of Mexico. Cape Coral has to be one of the top boaters dream locations. 
Estero
Located between Fort Myers and Naples, along Florida's Gulf Coast. This community is home to Florida Gulf Coast University, The Florida Everglades Hockey Team & Germain Arena. With many new residential and shopping areas including Miromar Outlets, this makes this Estero an ideal relaxing destination.
